Startup
Helping a 200-person startup's top 15 leaders step up and build a leadership pipeline
A growing startup in India (name withheld)
- Audience
- The top 15 leaders of a 200-member India team
- Programme
- Leadership Journey
- Delivery
- In-person and virtual sessions
The challenge
The startup had grown to 200 people in India, but decisions still flowed through a few founders. The 15 people in leadership roles needed to step up so the company could grow a real leadership pipeline beneath them.
Context
Many of these leaders had been promoted quickly as the company scaled. They were committed and capable, but had never been shown how to lead leaders, set direction or hold others accountable.
Our diagnosis
The founders were the bottleneck because the next layer had not yet built the habits of leadership: owning outcomes, delegating, coaching their own people and spotting future leaders.
The intervention
A leadership journey for the top 15 covering the shift from doer to leader, ownership and accountability, delegation, coaching, difficult conversations, building trust and identifying and growing future leaders in their own teams.
How it was delivered
Sessions were spaced over time so leaders could apply each idea at work and bring real situations back to the group, keeping the journey practical for a fast-moving startup.
Outcome
- The top 15 leaders took on more ownership of decisions and outcomes
- Leaders began identifying and developing future leaders in their teams
- A shared leadership foundation for the startup's next stage of growth

Most engagements begin as a single pilot cohort, so your team can evaluate the facilitation and the follow-through before a wider rollout.
