Program
Next Level Leadership Program for Experienced Managers
For managers stepping up to lead managers, wider scope, or a function they cannot personally do the work of.
- Duration
- 3–4 modules across two to three months
- Format
- Blended cohort with optional one-to-one coaching
- Group size
- 10–16 participants
The problem we are solving
The skills that make someone a strong manager of a team are not the ones that make them effective at the next level. Scope widens, direct control shrinks, and the leader is judged on decisions rather than delivery.
Leaders who do not make this shift stay operationally excellent and strategically invisible, busy, respected and stuck.
About this program
This next level leadership programme is designed for experienced managers moving into wider scope, leading other managers, or taking charge of a function. It focuses on the shift from delivering work to setting direction, making decisions with incomplete information and building influence across peers.
We run it as a multi-module leadership development journey with application work between sessions, so senior leaders are judged on real decisions rather than classroom exercises.
What changes in behaviour
- Lead through other leaders rather than around them
- Make decisions with incomplete information and communicate the reasoning
- Set direction that teams can translate into priorities
- Build influence with peers across functions
- Lead change without losing the middle layer
- Coach senior people instead of solving for them
What the program covers
- From managing work to setting direction
- Decision making under ambiguity
- Influence across the peer group
- Communicating change so it survives translation
- Building and coaching a leadership bench
- Commercial judgement and trade-offs
Who it is for
- Managers of managers
- Functional leads taking on wider scope
- High-potential leaders identified for senior roles
- Can this run as a leadership academy?
- Yes. It is most often delivered as a multi-module academy with application work between sessions.
- Is coaching included?
- It can be. One-to-one coaching between modules significantly increases application for senior participants.
Start with one cohort. Judge the behaviour change.
Most engagements begin as a single pilot cohort, so your team can evaluate the facilitation and the follow-through before a wider rollout.
